Introduction
Chris and Paddy have known each other for years. Owner of Bangor Tyre & Service Centre; Chris has worked on a lot of cars over the years. A complete petrol head with a garage full of cars/ toys – new and old!
Having got married in the past few years, Chris wanted to get a new car sorted for his wife Lucy. A Jaguar F Pace SVR was top of the list; but as Lucy commutes to work by train and Chris has a classic Defender for work, it was a lot of money for little use.
Challenge
Neither had leased cars before, so we met up to have a chat about the various finance products available and how they worked.
A Personal Contract Hire seemed to tick all of the boxes and the F-Pace was the one we had to concentrate on.
We set a target monthly budget and discussed specs. One big thing was that they didn’t want the usual D180 model. It had to be at least a P300 petrol. These are rarer than the diesel and more costly.
It was looking like a factory order but as there was no hand back date on the old car, it wasn’t an issue.
Outcome
We ordered this stunning Jaguar F Pace R Sport with a load of extras and we had one last request – as soon as the car arrives at the dealership, they were not to clean it. Not even take the wraps off it!
Ok… first time we’ve had that request but we now see why. Chris arrived with his trade plates (his hadn’t been fitted with a reg yet) and drove straight down to a ‘detailer’ who ceramic coated the car inside and out.
As you can see from the photos it is absolutely gleaming and the protection on the paint meant less washing going forward. What a beauty!!
