Introduction
Paddy had dealt with Ian Black Consulting several years before when Jeff and Adrian’s company cars were due a change. Both were keen to lower their Benefit In Kind tax and in the end they each got a Mitsubishi Outlander Hybrid on lease.
2 and a half years passed and we received a call from the guys to say they were starting to look about at options to replace the 2 cars at the end of their 3 year lease.
Challenge
Having enjoyed 3 years of lower BIK Tax, both wanted to continue with something similar. There was no going back to diesel!
Both had kids and preferred a larger car. At present, the market is quite limited for larger hybrid vehicles. They tend to be either small cars or the large and very expensive SUVs. We needed to find some middle ground.
Outcome
We narrowed down our search to a few different cars and searched the market for offers that may suit.
Adrian decided he’d go for another Outlander as it ticked all of the boxes for him. The car came within budget and we were able to get a higher spec this time around. Oh, and a change of colour!
Jeff fancied a change and opted for a Toyota Rav4 Hybrid instead. This wasn’t a plug-in hybrid like the Outlander but still offered low BIK in a big car. We were also able to get the top spec model for him too!
