Introduction
Jonny used to be our fleet contact in Audi where he worked for many years. As time went on he decided to take a Directors role in his family kitchen business – Perkins & Sons Kitchens.
Having ordered plenty of Audi’s from Jonny over the years, it was great to get a call to say he was looking for a new car himself. After driving Audi company cars for a long time he fancied a change and knew exactly what he wanted – a Mercedes c class coupe.
Challenge
Jonny knows his cars and knows the game so there was definitely a bit of ‘craic’ with this one. We’ve haggled with him on plenty of deals so it was his turn for a bit of payback!
Now, our biggest challenge with this one was that we weren’t the only ones competing for the business. Jonny dealt with all the leasing companies and gave a few of us the opportunity to price it (to be fair to his favourites!).
Our competitors were much larger companies than us and part of main dealership groups. This can work against them as they are usually restricted in who they can fund with and where they order their cars from. We’re not!!
Outcome
Without sounding smug, we knew we had this in the bag from our first chat! It just so happened we had an offer running on the Mercedes c class coupe amg line which we knew was incredibly good value.
Quotes were sent that day and we were over £130/m cheaper than anyone else! Deal done!
Most of all we were glad to get dealing with Jonny again – absolute gent!
