Introduction
Caroline began leasing vehicles through her business in 2017. Having always purchased cars in the past, she became aware that many people around her were now opting for a lease due to the great offers available.
In 2017 her first lease car was a VW Tiguan SEL that Paddy arranged for her. At the time we looked at several options but the deal on the Tiguan was very strong and she loved the car.
Challenge
After having three year of hassle-free motoring in a brand new car with all the mod-cons, there was no doubt that Caroline was going to hand her lease car back and exchange for another brand new one.
As she owns a horse riding school, she needs a big boot to cart stuff about. Mainly bags of horse feed! However with 4 grandkids and Granny duities, the car needed to be suitable for child car seats as well.
The high up driving position, great practicallity and superb build quality of the Tiguan helped make up her mind – she wanted another one!
Outcome
We advised that a face lifted model was due to appear at some stage in 2020. However, the Covid-19 pandemic has delayed delivery on these and the timings weren’t going to work. Also the facelift was likely to be a bit dearer when first launched.
It wasn’t all bad news though, we had an offer running on a higher spec VW Tiguan R Line Tech that looked great value for money. The R Line was always the top sporty model but VW launched the R Line Tech as a pre-facelift top model and added even more spec to the car.
We were able to offer an upgrade from the old SEL in to this more expensive top of the range car for a slightly lower monthly payment and best of all, with only half the deposit used first time around.
Not bad going after 3 years to get a higher model for less outlay and less per month. That’s how we roll at CARMERCIAL Leasing!
